Heading north

Thursday afternoon I finally left the South Pole. It has been so nice to hang out with this legend Hannah McKeand. She is the camp manager and she has skied to the South Pole 6 times! I’ve had a good rest and been eating lots. It wasn’t easy to leave the warmth, good food and the people. But as soon as I got going it felt good to be on the move again. There was almost no wind so I started to manhaul, but after a few kilometers I tried to get the kite in the air and manage a few more kilometers. I think it will be a slow start, not much wind for the nearest few days. The new kite-adventure has started!
