I have returned to an amazing welcome in Sweden. First there was the surprise party, then it was all the media attention and after that I recieved a nomination to the Swedish Adventurer of the year 2016.
”The first Swede who realizes a South Pole expedition on her own and as a return journey, in a exemplary manner with proper planning, innovative implemetation and good spirit. 2 270 kilometers on skis on the 39 day journey to the pole, going the same way back using a kite in only 12 days.”
That is the translation of the lovely nomination for 2016 och here is a photo of how it looked like when me and my sister got the Adventure of the year price in 2014. So much fun to be nominated again.
