I sometimes get comments that I’m brave doing this expedition, but I have never thought of this trip as a brave thing to do. Skiing to the South Pole was more about handling the cold, working hard and being diciplined day after day. And enjoy it. But now when I’m kiting I admit that I may be a little bit brave. It is such a sastrugi world here and I need to cross between the biggest sastrugi while concentrating on the kite. At the same time as I think kiting can be scary, I have huge respect for it, I also love it. Like today, travelling 110 kilometers in only a few hours. Just some ibuprophen for my knees and I’m hoping to do the same tomorrow.
